Mugly the British rescue dog wins the worlds ugliest dog title 2012
A rescue Chinese crested dog from the United Kingdom named Mugly has won the annual World’s Ugliest Dog contest held in California.

Mugly is 8 years old and he won $1000 and a whole year’s worth of dog cookies, beating 28 other ugly dogs who came from all around the world to compete!

Mugly was also named Britain’s ugliest dog in 2005!

Organizers at the event say the dogs are judged on their “natural ugliness in both pedigree and mutt classes.”

Last year’s winner, Yoda, was a Chinese crested and Chihuahua mix who sadly dies in March at the age of 15.
