A man has taken his dying dog on a bucket list adventure around America.

Thomas Neil Rodriguez was devastated when he found out that his dog, Poh, only had weeks to live. He had adopted Poh from a shelter back in 1999 when he was only eight weeks old. Now, at 15, the veterinarian has said that he has only weeks to live and they are unsure of exactly how many.

Rodrigeuz told ABC News ‘I would say sometime in February he started to get sicker. I travel quite a bit but we came back from one trip and he was doing really bad.’

Moved by the realisation that the time he had with his beloved pet was slowly slipping away, Rodriguez was inspired to give Poh an awesome send off. It was then that they embarked on a bucket list adventure across America which he documented on Instagram.

They kicked off the trip in New York City, where the family reside, and ended it Jersey Shore where Poh got to dip his paws in the Pacific Ocean.

Along the way, Poh went to Vegas.

At the time of writing, Poh is still in New York with his family as they prepare for the end.
