The people have spoken! A few days ago, the people of Britain were asked to come together to make a very important decision: Choosing the most popular 100 dog breeds for 2019!

Following a survey taken by 10,000 people on the ITV website, the results of Britain’s Top Dog 2019 were revealed on a special episode aired on ITV.

Presented by Sara Cox and Ben Fogle, the show taught dog lovers interesting facts about their favorite breeds, with special appearances from famous guests and their canine companions!

Here are the top 10 of Britain’s 100 most popular dog breeds. Can you find your favorite on this list?

10. Mixed Breeds

While not a specific breed, mixed breed dogs take over the 10th spot – showing a special love that the people of Britain have for these unique mutts!

9. Golden Retriever

One of the most popular dog breeds, the golden retriever is the ideal family pet: intelligent, friendly, loyal and a whole load of fun! Bred as a working dog, this breed loves having things to do and getting the most exercise out of their day!

8. German Shepherd

A great faithful companion, this working dog breed displays unmatched devotion to their owners! Courageous and smart, these dogs are often used by police and work among the police force!

7. Border Collie

Considered one of the smartest dog breeds, the Border Collie can understand up to 1,000 words and makes for an excellent herding dog.

6. Boxer

These muscular dogs sure love to run and jump around! But when it’s time to cuddle, the Boxer can be the sweetest and most loving companion.

5. Cocker Spaniel

One of the most beautiful breeds, the Cocker Spaniel dog wins the 5th spot with their loving, affectionate and gentle personalities.

4. Springer Spaniel

The Springer Spaniel, with their acute sense of smell which beats that of any other dog breed, has sniffed their way into the 4th spot!

3. Labrador

An extremely loyal and smart breed, the Labrador Retriever is the most popular assistance dog in the world, and can be trained to help with just about anything!

2. Cockapoo

With the face of an adorable angel and a sweet personality to match, the Cocker Spaniel and Poodle cross has achieved its spot of the 2nd most popular dog breed in the UK!

And finally, in first place…

1. Staffordshire Bull Terrier

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier has taken over the top spot as Britain’s Top Dog 2019! Originally bred as a fighting dog, this breed has proved just how sweet and loving they can really be when given the affection and appreciation they deserve!
